DevOps / Platform Engineer

The Role

A rapidly scaling technology company with a UK-wide engineering team is looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to own and evolve their cloud infrastructure. You will be the go-to person for platform reliability, developer experience and infrastructure automation — working closely with engineering teams to ensure the platform scales smoothly as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the company's AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform

• Manage and improve Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar

• Implement monitoring, alerting and on-call processes using Prometheus and Grafana

• Improve developer experience — internal tooling, environments and deployment workflows

• Drive security best practices across the infrastructure

• Participate in incident response and post-mortem processes

Requirements

• 4+ years DevOps or platform engineering experience

• Strong Kubernetes experience — deployment, scaling, troubleshooting

• Infrastructure as Code experience — Terraform preferred

• Deep AWS knowledge — EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC

• CI/CD pipeline experience — GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or similar

• Scripting skills — Python or Bash

• Right to work in the United Kingdom

• Salary £72,000 – £92,000 depending on experience
