The Role
A main contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial and residential projects across the Midlands is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of multiple live contracts. You will manage cost control, procurement and final accounts on projects ranging from £5m to £30m in value.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account
Procurement of subcontractors and management of subcontract accounts
Preparation of valuations, variations and cost reports
Cash flow forecasting and CVR reporting
Contract administration under JCT and NEC forms
Mentoring and supporting junior QS staff
Client liaison and dispute resolution
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Minimum 6 years UK main contractor QS experience
MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contract forms
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Right to work in the United Kingdom
