The Role
A fast-growing B2B SaaS company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their core product team. The company has scaled to over 500 enterprise clients and is now investing heavily in their engineering team to accelerate product development. You will work on backend services and APIs that power their platform used by thousands of businesses daily.
This is a fully remote role open to engineers based anywhere in the UK. The team works asynchronously with optional in-person meetups quarterly.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction of the platform
Write clean, well-tested and well-documented code
Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough code reviews
Collaborate closely with product managers and designers
Participate in on-call rotation for production incidents
Contribute to improving engineering processes and tooling
Requirements
5+ years professional software engineering experience
Strong Python or TypeScript skills — ideally both
Experience building and scaling REST or GraphQL APIs
Proficient with AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure
Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
Right to work in the United Kingdom
